December Week Three

Picture
Well folks, I'm off the States to celebrate Christmas with my family. Thank you all for a great year and I hope you have a wonderful break with your friends and family.

If you have some extra time to study over the holidays, I recommend taking a look at some of my general resources.

Don't forget we start classes again on Monday January 11th.

Take care and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Best,
Kelly

December Week Two

Picture
This week we talked about drones: their use in war, home delivery, and the future of a drone-shaped world.

LISTENING

This week, learners can listen to an article from business English about the future of business with drones or US Regulation of Drone Aircraft.

For original version try any of the TED talks under the topic Will Drones Save us or Destroy Us? or the fascinating podcast from TTBOOK: Drones!
READING
Learners can read about attempts to use drones for delivery services. Maybe Amazon drones will be dropping off a package soon at your place!

For original version, try reading an open letter by prominent thinkers criticizing drone warfare: Autonomous Weapons or some startling statistics about this drone warfare.

WRITING
For writing this week, please write an essay comparing the pros and cons of military drones and conclude with your own opinion.

Best,
Kelly
