April Week One

 This week we did a face off of different mundane but essential human inventions.  It was a great way to practice the third conditional at the same time.  You may want to review the third conditional here.

Listening:
Learners can try an activity from the British council about New Inventions, or an intermediate listening exercise about modern inventions.

For original version, check out the youtube channel, the Inventor Series, they have short videos about several fascinating and groundbreaking inventions.

Reading:
Learners can check out an article from Breaking News English about a curious invention, or from VOA about how science and engineering inventions can save lives.

For original version work try Time's article about the best inventions of last year, or an interesting article about a Rennaisance era inventor.

Writing:
Now it's your turn to do some writing!  Write an essay about one of the most essential but overlooked inventions you can think of things.  How would life have been different if it hadn't been invented?
