December Week Three

Merry Christmas!
Hi Folks!  It was our last week of class before the holidays, and we had a great time in class playing some games and doing madlibs, a fun change of pace to celebrate the upcoming holidays with classmates.  You can continue your work over the holidays playing some games online and thinking about the past year, 2013.

Listening
There are some listening games that you can play online, like audio concentration games.  Or you could try some listening about some of the important events from 2013, including the death of Nelson Mandela (mp3 and transcript).  For original version, watch a video about one of the many important news stories from 2013, or  listen to a podcast about the best music of 2013.

Reading
For reading check some of the top stories at Breaking News English or VOA English.  For something inoriginal version check out some of the many pieces about the year in review: The most powerful photos of 2013, or the Top 10 EVERYTHING of 2013.

Writing
The end of the year is a great time for reflection.  What important things happened to you, your region, your country and your world this year?
