This week our topic was etiquette and manners, the correct way to behave in different situations and how those rules can change depending on contexts. To get oriented, you may want to check out this website with Polite English Expressions. LISTENING To practice your listening skills, learners could try a listening exercise about manners at a business lunch. For a bit higher level try this fascinating information about manners from British Council. For original version watch a video with the most polite man in England, Stephen Fry along with some follow up exercises. READING Learners can try reading an article about Good Manners, Bad Manners (also availble as a listening exercise). For original version reading, try an article about how to be a Modern Mr. Manners. WRITING Are you ready to get back in the swing of things with writing? This week, please write about how you think you could raise children to be polite and courteous.
