March Week Three

This week we talked about different remedies for a myriad of ailments: the common cold, headaches, skin problems, nausea, etc. We even practiced some role plays at the doctor, god forbid you ever have to go to the doctor in a foreign country!

LISTENING
To practice your listening skills, learners could listen to a story about over the counter medicines or medical advice.

For original version, why not try listening to the Radiolab story that tackles the question of the placebo effect.
READING
Learners can try an article about growing trends in Alternative Medicine.

For original version reading, head over to Longreads and peruse the articles they have that deal with health. Pick out one that interests you!

WRITING
For writing this week, you have a couple of possibilities. You could write a composition explaining your opinion about alternative medicine (acupuncture, Chinese medicine, homeopathy, etc.).

Or tell me what is your secret to a healthy life and few doctors visits. Be specific!
